After a two week hiatus what can we expect from the world of Lost?

Any ideas?

  1. I cannot remember where we left off. Does anyone care to briefly recap?

  2. Last week, we learned that Sawyer, Juliet, and crew have infiltrated the Dharma Initiative for three years. Before they did, Miles asked Faraday, "So we're not supposed to get involved right, Dan?" Dan says, "Whatever happened, happened." To which Sawyer replied, "Yeah, thanks a lot, Plato!"

  3. Hopefully, everyone saw my Richard Alpert philosopher counterpart discovery via e-mail. That's made me think about Horace Goodspeed, the Dharma leader. Very similar to Horus, an Egyptian god believed to protect the pharaoh's power and the son of Osiris and Isis. Add that to the Egyptian anhk that his wife took from her dead first husband, and the Egyptian-like statue we finally saw.

  4. This weeks episode should be awesome since they kept us from getting a fix.!

  5. Hi, everyone. I currently am compiling a list of all characters and their real-life philosopher counterparts. Coming soon.

  6. I can wait to see just how complex the historical implications are!

  7. hello all. I had a slight issue being able to post so if anyone has any problems with your account profile not showing up in the "Comment as:" menu, I might have the solution.

  8. obviously—you were able to post. I just had some issues before. I had to go and change some of my settings in firefox apparently. For a while there I thought I was going to be the only moron that couldn't figure this out, but it was some odd setting that was disabled.

  9. Sawyer calling Faraday Plato has struck a chord as to the implications of the island possibly being Atlantis, I think this has been disputed, but Plato drew up the initial theory of Atlantis and its location. Also it is thought that Egyptians borrowed technology from the Atlantians, or... vice versa, its Monday, Im barely awake.
Dan and I also discussed Sawyers greater role in the current resurrection of Locke. He is awaiting his return. In one of the Gnostic gospels, I believe in mentions James as Jesus' brother. If this is correct, that rings true regarding Sawyer and Locke having a brother like relationship... both of their lives have been heavily affected by the same man. I also like how Locke always addresses Sawyer as James. He makes it a point to always use his real name.

  10. Excellent call on the Sawyer/Locke James/Jesus thing. Technically James is Jesus' half-brother because God was Jesus' Dad and what not. It could be argued that Sawyer and Locke are half-brothers as well--in a sense they had the same father. No other man was as influential in their lives as the "real" Sawyer. I think it's a good point.

  11. Michael, I meant to thank you for the music recommendations. I enjoyed both but loved Andrew Bird...appreciate it.

  12. Predictions for "Namaste":
The Dharma crew will become suspicious of the Losties once Jack, Kate, and Hurley are brought back. Their shipwreck con cant hold up after they show up.

Im supporting Dans theory that young Ben will meet Juliete, and some emotional attachment will take place on his part. So we may see lil Ben once again.

Any guesses as to what Dharma jobs Jack, Kate, and Hurley will have?
Kate? a mechanic to replace Juliete, Im sure shes now a doctor since she delivered Amys baby.
    Jack? doctor? too obvious?
Hurley? Im guessing something to do with the numbers.

Waller you said a while back that you thought it was Hurleys voice reciting the numbers on the radio the French team was listening to. Im now thinking that would be pretty cool.
He may have to accept his fate that he must deal with those numbers.

  13. Waller, Im now fully supporting your comment that it is indeed Hurley reciting the numbers.
I dismissed this without much thought, but I just went back and listened to it again. Its a little hard to hear with the ocean in the background.
But when the voice says "23, 42", it definitely sounds like Hurley. It is clearly not the same voice that we heard in the very first episode.

  14. okay we never heard the voice of the numbers in the first episode, it was Rousseau's recording.
I was thinking of the voice saying "interation..."
so, clearly the voice on Montonds radio is not what we heard in the first episode.
So just wanted to clear up the confusion that my last statement may have caused due to me just not thinking it through.

  15. Wow! I just listened to the recording with the numbers that the French team listens to when they first arrived. Definitely Hurley in my opinion. The "23, 42" must be Hurley. Nice call, Waller! I think you nailed that one! It's nice to see that come full circle.

  16. Predictions on Jack's job with Dharma? Over-obsessive hair dresser.
Kate? Hitwoman for Sawyer's security forces
Hurley? He'll have to sit in the radio tower and repeat the numbers over and over. No recording. He just repeats them over and over.

  17. Actually, I would like to see Hurley working in the Swan hatch. Maybe he's "Razinski" or whoever predated Kelvin Inman.

  18. yeah, Swan station for Hurley, but Razinski eventually blows his head off, so I hope thats not Hurley.
I hope Im crediting the right person for identifying Hurley and the numbers.
I was thinking it was Waller but I cant find the email where that was addressed.
So if it wasnt Waller, fess up and claim it. Other wise... good ears Waller.

  19. Hurley has been suicidal before, and I could see the numbers forcing him to pull the trigger. But I'm probably off on the Razinski thing because why would Hurley adopt that as a fake name?
